Meet Blue & MeShell @meshelldaily! "After losing my family's 8-year old pitbull to cancer last year, I didn't think I was ready to take on another dog, let alone another pit. But I poked around and wanted to see what was out there and came across Blue from the Berkeley Humane Society. I instantly fell in love. I was hesitant at first, not because of her tripaw, but having to take care of a 5-month old pup! Blue was surrendered by her owner after she had an accident with her leg. It's unclear what happened, but it was so severely broken that it had to be amputated. I met her just a week after she had her amputation when she still had all her stitches and staples in, but she was already up and walking. I was amazed by her energy and I knew she was the one. I waited a few days so I could take advantage of the Maddie's free adoption event. I called that Saturday morning to make sure she was still available and I was there, first one in line to take her home that weekend with no hesitation. Blue is my first dog that I have raised myself from a pup and I can't believe the love and laughter she has brought to me. She's active despite her leg and loves to chase the ball. She's also quite the dog to snuggle with. Everyone that meets her pretty much falls in love."@meshelldaily
